EFFECT OF ROCK INHIBITORS ON DIABETIC MACULAR EDEMA

Aims and objectives :To study the effects of topical Ripasudil on diabetic macular edema in tertiary eye care hospital. Materials Methods:: Ethics approval was obtained. Written informed consent It is a prospective interventional 20 eyes (10 as controls,10 tests) presenting to our opd. Inclusion criteria for patients whom ripasudil administered are with DME FT->300µm no history ocular surgery or photocoagulation, anti VEGF treatment prescribed ripasudileyedrops 2t/d 4 weeks followed up FT measurement. we enrolled 10 control comparision age sex matched individuals other test group. After taking detailed BCVA, anterior segment fundus, oct macula spectral domain done. Investigations like Blood pressure, FBS, PPBS, HbA1C, serum creatinine, lipid profile were Results: administration those mean decreased significantly from 430 ± 60µm 380 ± 62 µm (P = 0.003) this change different that controls, which increased by 1 ± 40µm (P = 0.01). Conclusion: In conclusion, current findings showed after initiation therapy, suggesting might be effective noninvasive alternative DME.
